THE FIVE SUB-BASINS
Five sub-basins. One watershed.
MRWAC works across five major hydrologic sub-basins. Each has its own working group, three-year workplan, and regional priorities.

OUR REGIONAL APPROACH
Tailored to each basin’s geography and water challenges.
The Mississippi River Basin spans diverse geographies and hydrological conditions. From northern forests and lakes to southern wetlands and delta, each region faces distinct water challenges.
Each sub-basin operates as a Working Group with its own roster of partners, a three-year workplan, and sub-targets that guide project selection and investment.
